The Portal Editor, accessed from the left navigation bar, creates your custom consumer site, the interface used by your end-users to manage their privacy preferences and request changes.
The tabs on the left open interfaces in the main pane for customizing different sections of the consumer site. The selection pane on the left side of the main pane presents the customizable parameters that you can select or specify, and the preview pane on the right side instantly previews how your selections will look on the consumer site.

The buttons in the upper right corner present the following actions:

Go To Portal - select one of your consumer forms (see Form below) and open it in a new tab.
Save & Publish - save all the configurations you specified in the Portal Editor and publish the consumer site.
English - select the language of your consumer site (English/Portuguese).
Platform - toggle the preview pane between desktop and smartphone.
Expand - expand/collapse the preview pane.
General
The General tab shows the first page the user sees when they open the consumer site. The consumer workflow is hard-coded:
- Select an action - the consumer selects the use case they wish to execute.
- Tell us who you are - the consumer provides identifying information so that their identity can be verified and their personal data located.
The collapsible sections in the selection pane present the following configurations, which can also be configured in Basic Settings and Account Settings:
- Top - specify the logo and text that appear at the top of all pages in your consumer site.
- Supported Use Cases - select which use cases will appear under Select an action in the consumer site.
- Supported Profiles - select which consumer profiles will appear under Tell us who you are in the consumer site.
- Bottom - links to your Contact Us, Privacy Notice, and Terms and Conditions.
Click on the pencil icon to edit each configuration, and the toggle next to each configuration to enable/disable it on your site.
Form
The Form tab configures the fields that appear to the consumer on Tell us who you are. The purpose of this form is to gather the information you need to validate the user's identity and to communicate with them. You can create multiple forms for different types of consumers and consumer profiles. Each form will have a unique URL that you can publicize to the relevant consumers. Existing forms appear in the selection pane on the left.

Click on a form to edit it, or click + Add New Form to create a new form.

A form contains the fields that the consumer will fill in with their identifying and contact information. A form starts with a number of pre-defined standard fields:
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| First name | N | First name and Last name are not required since the consumer is identified primarily by their email. Gathering this information will be helpful when processing requests unless you are concerned about maintaining consumer anonymity within the admin portal. |
| Last name | N | |
| Delivery method | N | Delivery method refers to how notifications and updates are communicated to the consumer. Enabling this field (default: disabled) presents the consumer with the option to select the following:

| State | Y | The State field only appears when the consumer selects a country with states, such as the United States. |

| City | N | Enable this field and make it required if you need it for regular mail delivery of notifications and updates. |

To the right of each field is an enable toggle and 3-dot action menu that opens the Edit Field dialog. Fields marked above as required, which are shown in the portal with a grayed-out enable toggle, are always required by the portal and cannot be disabled. Other fields can be disabled and specified as required or not. You can also modify the field title in this dialog.

In addition to the standard fields, you can add custom fields by clicking + Add New Field at the bottom of the form.
Note that, when selecting the language for preset fields, the field title will automatically be updated for the selected language. For custom fields that you create, you must manually enter the field title in your selected language.
Preference Center
The Preference Center tab enables you to customize the form consumers use to specify their preferences on how you communicate with them and how you share their personal data.

Note: The Edit Data and Report tabs are placeholders for future functionality in development.
Save & Publish
When you have completed specifying all the fields and options in the Portal Editor, click Go To Portal in the upper right corner to see the completed site.
If all is satisfactory, click Save & Publish to create the site and get its URL to send to your users or publish on your company site.
